(From the Knoxville newspaper) MONROE, MRS. MARY NANCY UNDERWOOD - age 82, residence 3807 Middlebrook Pk., passed away at UT Hospital, Saturday. She was a member of Keith Avenue Baptist Church. Survivors: sons, Warren E. Monroe Jr., Edward C. Monroe; daughters, Mrs. George W. Gregory, Mrs. Louise Acuff, Mrs. Wauneeta Graves, Mrs. Tammy Thompson, Mrs. Calvin Connatser; 40 grandchildren; 62 great grandchildren; 1 great-great grandchild; sister, Mrs. J.E. Lett; brothers, T.H. Underwood, Vasco Underwood, Jeff M. Underwood, Vadie Underwood. Funeral services 2 p.m. Monday at Roberts Mortuary. Jack E. Wilkerson and Rev. Thomas Haskins officiating. Grandsons will be pallbearers and honorary pallbearers. Interment Old Carr Cemetery, Maynardville. Family will receive friends 7-9 p.m. Sunday at Roberts Mortuary.
