Jesse Lloyd Crews, II
November 28, 1939 - July 21, 2020

Jesse Lloyd Crews, II, 80, of Bell Florida passed away Tuesday evening after a brief illness. Lloyd was a native of Ware County but made his home in various places during his Naval career from which he retired in 1979 as a Master Chief. Lloyd continued his work with the government as an Environmental Engineer prior to setting up roots in his retirement home in Florida.

Led by his passion for learning, Lloyd earned two post graduate degrees and multiple undergraduate degrees, which eventually led him to teach college business courses in Texas and Florida. Lloyd enjoyed spending time with his military brothers and friends at VFW post 5625, Masonic Lodge 109 and the Shriners lodge.

Survivors include his wife, Sharon Miller Crews, six sons, Jesse L. Crews III (Marie), Maurice Crews, Leif Crews (Ashlee), Gerald Bass (Diane), Carse Crews, Sr. (Susan), James Bass (Wendy) and three daughters, Vanessa Mosely (Lawrence), Donna Clark (Noah) and Anne Barksdale (Scott). Lloyd is also survived by one brother, Terry Crews (wife Janet) and two sisters, Judy Chancey (Charles), and Lanna Kay Smith; 15 Grandchildren: Amanda Horne, Bill Moseley, Morgan Moseley, Melinda Hernandez, Maurice (Bubba) Crews, Jr., Alisa Davis, Huey (Trey) Davis, Eric Crews, Jessica Pike, Brittany Crews, Marianne Crews, Iris Crews, Carse Crews, Jr., Joshua, Danielle, Noelle, numerous great grandchildren, nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Lloyd is preceded in death by his parents, Jesse L Crews I, and Thetus Chaplin Crews, two brothers, Tracy L. Crews, Sr. and Danna Ray Crews, and one sister, Alcine Duckworth.

A memorial service will be held Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Miles-Odum Funeral Home Chapel.
