Mrs. Kathleen Peavy, of Montezuma, Georgia passed away peacefully at Pine Pointe Hospice Navicent Health in Macon, Georgia on the morning of July 23, 2020 at 91 years of age.
Services will be held at Cedar Valley Baptist Church on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at 2:00 p.m. Family will receive friends from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the church. Rev. Damon Fountain and Rev. Keith Alderman will be officiating the service.
Mrs. Kathleen will lie in state at the funeral home from Saturday at 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m. and on Sunday from 9: 00 a.m. until 12:00 noon.
(Due to COVID-19 restrictions, social distancing practices will be in place and if you're attending the funeral home, church service or graveside service, face masks should be worn.)
Mrs. Kathleen was born in Montezuma, Georgia on December 26, 1928 to the late Robert Monroe Peaster and Fannie Pearl Whittington Peaster. She retired from Southern Frozen Foods where she worked as secretary much of her career. Mrs. Kathleen was a member of Cedar Valley Baptist Church and Ruby Lacey Sunday School Class. She loved spending time with her family and friends.
Her memory will forever be treasured by her children: Wayne Peavy and wife, Dawn of Montezuma, Georgia and Brenda Chandler and husband, Don, also of Montezuma; Georgia four grandchildren: Amber Moore (Chris), Ashley DaVanzo (Bill), Joni Taunton (Jamey) and Lacey Chandler; four great-grandchildren: Ella Kate Potts, Spencer Taunton, Addyson Taunton, and Wyatt Chandler. Also surviving are a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
Along with her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, William Bryan Peavy; two brothers: Phil Peaster and William Robert Peaster and a sister, Agnes Bartlett.
