"Funeral services for Siberia Epperson, of Jefferson, will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Union Missionary Baptist Church with the Rev. Leon Noeil officiating. Burial will be in New Zion Cemetery under the direction of Burton Funeral Home. Ms. Epperson died at 3:15 a.m. Thursday, July 16, 1987, at Linden Hospital in Linden. She was born March 15, 1916, in Marion County, a daughter of Bill Roseberry and Martha Ann Washington Roseberry. She was a member of Union Missionary Baptist Church and Queen Ester O.E.S. No. 255. She attended high school, and she was a housekeeper. Survivors include her husband, Murry Gooch; one son, Climmie Jefferson, of San Francisco, California; one daughter, Velma Lee Sheppard, of Dallas; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren."
