GUY HILDEBRAND

CEDAR VALLEY — Mr. Guy Hildebrand, 80, of 'the Cedar Valley and West Liberty area, died early today at the Iowa City extended care center after an extended illness.
Born Nov. 6, 1888 at Jennings, Kan., he was a life resident of this community.
Guy Hildebrand married the former Harriet Arnold, Oct. 18, 1911 at West Liberty. He was a member of the Cedar Valley United Methodist church and a retired Muscatine County farmer having farmed all his life in the Cedar Valley-West Liberty area.
Survivors include the widow, Mrs. Harriet Hildebrand; four sons, Wilson, Medford, Ore., Russell, Dallas, Texas, Lester, Kansas City, Mo., and Ed of West Liberty; four daughters, Mrs. Janet Smith and Mrs. Margaret Kerr, both of Denver, Colo., and Mrs. Leota Nortman and Mrs. Dorothy Phelps, both of West Liberty; also 24 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by two brothers.
Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Wednesday at the West Liberty United Methodist church. Burial will be in Oak Ridge cemetery.
Friends may call at the Snider Funeral home, West Liberty, Tuesday.
