Mrs. Edith Rose Turner, 23, of Double Springs, Ala., formerly of White Oak died Thursday night at her home.
Born March 8, 1947 in Raleigh County, she was a daughter of Kessler and Stella Bennett Adkins.
She attended Freewill Baptist Church in Alabama.
Survivors include her husband, Berlin Turner of Alabama; two sons, Stanley and Shawn, both at home; a daughter, Laura Rose, at home; five brothers, Kenneth and Jesse, both of Marion, Ind., Glenville and Glennis, both of White Oak, and Denzil with the Army in Vietnam; a sister, Mrs. Ethelene Bennett of Beaver and her maternal grandmother, Mrs. Effie Bennett of Beckley.
The body will be returned to the Ronald Meadows Funeral parlor in Hinton. Arrangements are incomplete.

The Thursday death of Mrs. Edith Rose Turner, 23, of Double Springs, Ala., formerly of White Oak, has been ruled caused by strangulation and her husband has been charged with first degree murder.
Sheriff Raymond Cobb of Winston County, Alabama, said Monday that 30-year-old Gene Turner was jailed without bond in the death of his wife who was found lying beside her bed Friday.
The coroner's inquest ruled she was strangled to death.

Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Rose Turner, 23, of Double Springs, Ala., formerly of White Oak, will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in the New Salem Missionary Baptist
Church, Abraham with the Rev. Donald Meadows officiating.
Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
According to Alabama authorities, Mrs. Turner's death was caused by strangulation and her husband was charged with first degree murder.
The body will remain at the Ronald Meadows Funeral Parlor in Hinton and will be taken to the church one hour prior to the service.
Friends may call at the funeral home after 6 p.m. today.
Cousins will serve as pallbearers.
