Funeral services for Jacob L. Adkins, 88, of Abrahm, will be conducted Wednesday at 1 p.m. in the New Salem Church at Abraham with the Rev. Oliver Tedder in charge. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Adkins died Monday at 1 a.m. in an Oak Hill nursing home.
A retired famer, he was a member of New Salem Baptist Church at Abraham.
Born at Pear Aug. 7, 1878, he was a son of the late William and Mary Adkins.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Sadie Kincaid Adkins at home, four daughters, Mrs. Noral Bennett of Glen Jean, Mrs. Sadie Kincaid of Shady Spring, Mrs. Violet Ezell of Fort Worth, Tex. and Mrs. Lena Beverly of Bradley; 26 grandchildren, 72 great-grandchildren and 20 great-great-grandchildren.
