– Charles Hedges Moore, Jr., 76, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2020, after an extended illness caused by injuries sustained in an automobile accident. When the gathering restrictions imposed by the state have been lifted, a Memorial Service with military honors will be held in Jacksonville National Cemetery in Jacksonville, Florida. Details of that service will be announced in timely manner, so that those wishing to attend can make plans.
Charles proudly served our country in the U.S. Navy and the U.S. Marine Corps, and spent his career in Civil Service at the Naval Air Station in Jacksonville, Florida.
Survivors include his loving and devoted wife of forty years, his children, his grandchildren, his in-laws, and his long-time friends. He was a loving and compassionate person who will be missed by the living and welcomed by waiting family and friends in the hereafter.
