Final Rites held for Charlie Aldridge

Charlie Howard Aldridge, Jr., 72, of Winona died Wednesday, September 15, at Greenwood Leflore Hospital. Mr. Aldridge was a lifelong resident of Montgomery County and was a retired businessman, farmer cattle man, and gin owner.

Mr. Aldridge is survived by his wife, Mrs. Lydia George Aldridge of Winona; one daughter, Mrs. Betty Brown of N. Carrollton; one son, Charlie Aldridge, III, of Memphis; four sisters, Mrs. Onita Shepard of Atlanta, Ga., Mrs. Camie Lois Peterson of Displain, Ill., Mrs. Elizabeth Dribben of Greenwood, and Mrs. Helen Herring of Winona; one brother, John E. Aldridge of Jackson, and four grandchildren.

Funeral services were conducted Friday, September 17, at 3:00 p.m. by Rev. W.V. Kemp and Rev. David L. Pratt at Lee Funeral Home Chapel. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with Lee Funeral Home in charge.

Pallbearers were Charles Hamer, George Harris, Wiley Prewitt, W.W. Jenkins, Aubrey Boone and Tommy Garrot.
