Marjorie Archer YATES CITY - Marjorie Jean Archer, 94, of Yates City, passed away at 11:25 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 11, 2018, at Proctor Hospital in Peoria. She was born on Aug. 1, 1923, in Knox County, to Maro and Jessie (Knox) Corey. They preceded her in death. She married Lyndal Archer on June 28, 1947, in Carlinville. He preceded her in death in June 2005. She is survived by two children, Raymond (Jeanne) Archer of Abingdon, and Linda (the late Walter) Oberreiter of Springfield; two grandchildren, Stephanie (Travis) Patrick and Jeff (Whitney) Oberreiter; and two great-grandchildren. She is also preceded in death by one sister, Charlotte Corey, and one grandson, Ronald Archer. A graveside service will be held at 1 p.m., on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2018, at Yates City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Elba-Salem Township Fire Department and B.Y.E.
