Funeral services for Henderson "Pete" Horton, 62, were at 2:00 pm Saturday, January 22, 1994 at Mountain Home Baptist Church with Rev Charles Pugh, Rev Arthur Faulkner and Rev Dale Brooks officiating. Burial was in Oakwood Cemetery with arrangements by Coker Funeral Home. He died Thursday, January 20, 1994 in Faith Community Hospital in Jacksboro following a lengthy illness.

Mr Horton was born August 05, 1931 in Jack County, TX where he has been a rancher, a merchant and Jack County Constable. He married Melba Banks on December 22, 1975 in Graham, TX. He was a longtime member of Mountain Home Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife Melba of the home.
Daughter, Debbie (Voyles) King of Jacksboro.
Three sons, Babe Horton, Filmore Horton and Mike Voyles all of Jacksboro.
Two sisters, Arminda Plaster and Mary Hanna, both of Jacksboro.
Six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Mr Horton was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Sam Horton and two brothers, Mitchell and Button Horton and one sister, Irene Horton.

Pallbearers were Jerry Adams, Tuffy Horn, L.C. Morrow, Waco Tabor, Frank Gillen and Danny Nash. Dan Evans served as an honorary pallbearer.
