SANDWICH -- Louis D. Green, 77, of Sandwich, died Saturday, July 14, at Provena-Mercy Center Hospital in Aurora.
Funeral services will be at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Beverage Family Funeral Home in Sandwich. Burial will be in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Sandwich. Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Tuesday.
Mr. Green was born March 22, 1930, in Tolono, to Joseph and Myrtie Greene. He married Jacqueline "Jackie" Griswold.
He served in the Air Force, stationed in Germany and England. He worked for Federal Huber for 30 years and Plano Metal Specialties for 10 years.
He is survived by his wife; two sons, Michael and Patrick Green, both of Sandwich; a daughter, Diane (Cy) Olson of Sandwich; two sisters, Ruby (Leo) Anderson and Alice Merkel, both of Yorkville; five grandchildren, Cassity, Shauna and Jacob Green and Whitney and Sydney Olson; and his friend, Cindy Jackowiak of Sandwich.
He was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Carl; and a sister, Gladys
