ALBERT E. SCHULTZ 1911-2005 Albert passed away peacefully at Pinawa Hospital on Thursday, October 20, 2005 at the age of 94. He is survived by his wife Mathilda (Tillie); daughter Rita (Brian), granddaughters, Heather and Amber; brother Otto (Ruth) and many nieces and nephews. Albert was predeceased by his parents, Emmanuel and Lydia; sisters, Linda and Hulda; brother in-law Carol and niece Anita. Albert was born in Poland in 1911. He came to Canada at aged 16 with his parents and settled in Kipling, SK where they farmed during the 1930s, when times were hard. Albert decided to move to Ontario where he found a job on a tobacco farm in Tillsonburg. A few years later he moved to Whitemouth, MB near his family and continued farming. There he met and married Tillie Mohr and ran a dairy farm. Rita was born in 1959. They continued farming until their retirement in 1977. Albert served on the Oldenburg and later Redeemer Church Council. He enjoyed music having played the violin, trumpet and accordion in a band while living in Poland. And he enjoyed his granddaughters when they visited and played piano for him. Albert resided on his farm until his move to Riverbend Manor in March, 2004. He enjoyed the Adult Day Programs, evening entertainment and the thoughtful care of the Home Care Staff at the Manor and also on the farm. The family would also like to thank Dr. Spence for his excellent care. Prayers will be said on Monday, October 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Sobering Funeral Chapel, 1035 Park Avenue East, Beausejour, MB with cremation to follow. A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Whitemouth, MB with Pastor George Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, if friends and family so desire, donations may be made to Redeemer Lutheran Church Memorial Fund, Box 277, Whitemouth, MB R0E 2G0 or to a charity of one's choice.
