"JOHN A. E. CUNNINGHAM 93, of Wesley Acres died of a stroke Sunday at his home Sunday. The body has been donated to the University of Iowa College of Medicine. The Reverend Mr Cunningham, who was a Methodist minister for 50 years before his retirement, was born in Orient, Iowa and lived in Winterset before moving to Des Moines, several years ago. He was a graduate of Simpson College and a member of the Masonic Lodge and the United Methodist Church. Survivors include his wife Agnes B.; 4 daughters, Mrs Zella Ridenour of New Market; Mrs Thora Collins of Des Moines; Mrs Giovanna Ries of West Des Moines; Mrs Burdene Baker of Lone Tree; 2 sons, John Jr. of Sacramento, California and Gerald of Chicago, Illinois; a sister Mrs Callie Eggart of Sheridan, Wyoming; 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren."
