Research by Mary Reynolds Hill:
According to my Aunt, Robert lost both legs to gangrene. They lived on the North side of Brownwood, located near Baker Street, where the Tongate Feed Store and Mill once stood. The overpass that once stood near their home was torn down and a large intersection built in it's place. MHMR is now built in this area. It was near this area that Sallie would walk to sell her milk and butter products to other people.
