Last rites for Hally (Hal) Fox, who died at the Veterans' Hospital in Biloxi on May 23rd, were conducted at the Oliver Funeral Home at two o'clock Friday afternoon, May 24th, with the Rev. W. P. Bailey officiating. Interment was in Oakwood Cemetery under the direction of Oliver Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Harry Simmons, Buddy Allen, W. E. Oliver, M. C. Billingsley, J. E. Bounds and J. E. Oliver.

Born April 28, 1881, at Slate Springs, Mr. Fox was married to the former Miss Katie Campbell on June 24, 1914. Mr. Fox was graduated from A. & M. College in 1901 and West Point Military Academy, N. Y., in 1906, serving as a first lieutenant in World War I in the Coast Artillery. He taught mathematics at Mississippi State College for about twenty-five years. He was a member of the Galloway Memorial Methodist Church.

In addition to his wife, he leaves one son, Hal Fox, Jr., Hattiesburg; three daughters, Mrs. Robert R. Phillip, Jackson, Mrs. Harry Folwell, Atlanta, Ga., and Mrs. John C. McLaurin, Brandon; one sister, Mrs. B. A. Truly, Fayette, Miss.; two brothers, Dr. L. T. Fox, Canton and Carl Fox, Mobile, Ala.; and seven grandchildren.
