Elaine Yaws Baker, age 71, of Sutherland Springs, Texas passed away Saturday, July 25, 2020. Elaine was a graduate of Nixon High School in 1967. She was an active member of the Church of God 7th day, where she taught Sabbath school for many years. Most special occasions were marked by her decorated cakes, homemade yeast rolls, or her to-die-for banana pudding. All of her grandbabies received a handmade baby quilt from “Mammah”.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Reed and Ida Yaws, and her husband of 52 years, Sherman Baker, and her brother, W.D. Yaws.

She is survived by her two sisters Hazel Coyle, and Nelda Berryhill, her 3 children, Wesley Baker and his wife Jami, Lesli Neubauer and her husband, Richard, Brannon Baker and wife Laura. There are 10 much loved grandchildren, and 3 great-granddaughters.
