Ethel "Gertie" Felker, 97, of Logansport passed away at 8:38 p.m., Sunday, May 26, 2014 at her residence. Born on April 15, 1917 in Washington Township, she was the daughter of the late Ernest and Edith (Funk) Wade. On July 4, 1938 she married Ernest Felker. He preceded her in death on March 5, 1992. Gertie was a homemaker and farmwife. She was a member of Bethel United Methodist Church, U.S. Trotting Association and she was a 50 year member of the Order of Easter Star. Gertie enjoyed working on the farm, training horses, traveling with her best friend, Janet Murphy and most of all spending time with her family. Survivors include her daughters, Karen Brugh of Pittsville, Wisconsin, Rosemary Cadwallader (Arthur), Jane Gellinger and Nancy Sabatini (Robert) all of Logansport, grandchildren, Lori Abel (Paul), Pat Herr (Cindy), Kelly Kurtzweil (Chad), Kim Miller, John Brugh (Sally), Tina Merhley (Ernest) and Don Gellinger (Tammy). She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 6 great great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by son, William Felker, granddaughter, Terri Brugh, sisters, Betty Barnes and Esther Tichenor, brother, Harold Wade and sons-in-law, Michael Brugh and Michael Gellinger. Services will be at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 29, 2014 at Marocco-Rans Funeral Chapel with Pastor David Payton officiating.
