Ronald L. Abner
April 22, 1959 ~ August 4, 2020

Ronald Abner, Sr., of Bedford, passed away suddenly at Bloomington Hospital on August 4, 2020. He was 61.

Ron entered this life on April 22, 1959 in Seymour, Indiana. He was the son of Donald “Butch” and Mary (Sirmans) Abner. He was the brother of Donald “Drope” and Melanie, and the father to Jered and Ronald, Jr.

Ron was a Tool & Die Maker. He made molds while working at PD & Q in Bedford and at Como Plastics in Columbus. After his retirement he drove a logging truck for several years.

Ron loved to hunt, fishing, riding motorcycles, racing cars, and watching NASCAR.

Surviving to share Ron’s memories, his sons Jered Abner and his wife Sara of Seymour, and Ron Abner, Jr. and his fiancé Maria of Seymour, his grandchildren, Caedyn, Elijah, Bryce, Annie, Arron, Ailey, and Carson, and his Sister Melanie Wagner of Indianapolis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, and a grandchild, Patch Samuel Abner.

Funeral service will be held at Hague Funeral Home of Medora on Saturday, August 8, 2020 at 1:00 pm with Pastor Johnny Spivey officiating. Burial will follow at Fairview Cemetery in Brownstown.

Friends may call at Hague Funeral Home of Medora from 11:00 until time of the service on Saturday.

Memorials may be written in Ron’s memory to the family.
