Actress. Marina Tamayo Sort was a Mexican film actress. She appeared in seventeen films during the Golden age of Mexican cinema. She debuted in 1936 in the film "Las mujeres mandan" in the starring role. She later starred some films as "Águila o sol," "Una luz en el camino," "En tiempos de don Porfirio," "Al son de la marimba," and "Cuando los hijos se van." In 1942 she married the actor Emilio Tuero and stopped acting. She died in 2005 of a heart attack.
