Thomas was 65 years old and lived in Warwick, RI at the time of his passing. He died at the Jane Brown Unit of Rhode Island Hospital, Providence.

Thomas was born in Cranston and was a son of the late James F. and Dorothy B. (Holdgate) Bunn. He served in the U. S. Navy from 1960 to 1965 and had been stationed in Yemen. Following is discharge Thomas worked for the Joint Chief of Staff at the Pentagon in Washington, DC. After returning to Rhode Island Thomas worked as an inside Sales Representative for the Providence Journal Co. for over 36 years retiring in 2001.

He is survived by his twin sister Linda G. Bunn of Brandon, VT, his sister Joyce A. Kilborn and her husband Richard Kilborn, Sr. of Warwick, two nephews James Kilborn and Richard Kilborn, Jr., three niece, Donna Sessions, Debra Hogan and Marylou Luiz, 10 grand nieces and nephews and his Dear Friend Mary McManus.

He was buried with full Military Honors.
