Mary was 104 when she passed away Saturday at the home of her daughter in Warwick. She was the wife of the late Lincoln H. Ridgewell.

She was a seventh generation born in Bristol a daughter of the late John and Alice (Gifford) Rawson she had lived in Cranston since 1952.
She was a graduate of Truesdale Hospital School of Nursing in 1926 and was an RN Supervisor at St. Elizabeth's Home for 17 years served on their Board of Managers until she was 95, had previously been a District Nurse in Bristol and Southern New England and a private duty nurse for Lizzie Borden's sister, Emma.

Mary was the first President of St. Dunston School Parents Assn. Past President of the Rhode Island Women's Club; a member of Adah Chapter OES, the RI Federated Women's Ex-Club, Past President Auburn Library Club, and Cranston Senior Bowling until she turned 97.

She is survived by her son Lincoln R. Ridgewell of Cranston, a daughter Ruth R. Doyle of Warwick. Grandchildren Lynn Maynard of Dallas, TX, Brad Ridgewell of Tallahassee, FL. Gary Ridgewell of W. VA, Heather Alexis Doyle of Warwick, Heidi Doyle-Hall of Maysville, GA and 14 great grandchildren.
