Born in Providence a son of the late Albert M. and Dorothy ( Bannister) Nichols he had lived in Coventry and West Greenwich before moving to Sun City AZ and returned to R. I. in 1998.
Albert served as a Lt. Navigator-Bombardier in the US Navy during the Korean War. He graduated from Brown University in 1952 and was a member of the Naval Reserve Officers Corps. Albert was the President-Treasurer of the former Ballou, Johnson, Nichols, Co. Albert was a member of Harmony Lodge F & AM of Cranston; Scottish Rite Valley of Providence were he served as Commander-in-Chief of the R. I. Consistory from 1974-1976. He served as Potentate of the Rhode Island Shriners in 1976 and was an Imperial representative. Albert served as the secretary of the Board of Governors of the Shriners Hospital, Boston Burns Unit 1975-76 and on the Board of Governors of the Shriners Hospital for Children in Springfield, MA. He served as Director of the Providence Court #71, Royal Order of Jester in 1970, Impresario from 1968-1972, was the first and founding President of the Northeast Jesters Assoc. and served as Secretary/Treasurer 1974-1976, and served on National Committees.
He is survived by one son Mark B. Nichols of Warwick, one daughter Kim H. Kyle of Port St. Lucie, Fla. And three grandchildren, Sara Kyle of Pt. St. Lucie, Fla, Christopher Nichols and Megan Nichols both of Warwick.
