Joseph had lived in Coventry, RI before moving to West Warwick, RI in 1992.
He was the owner and operator of his own alarm business for 15 years before retiring in 2003.
He was a US Army veteran. Over the years he traveled around the world to such places as Russia, the Middle East, all of Europe, China and the Berlin Wall.
He was an avid New England Patriots fan and season ticket holder who, after retirement and with his wife, traveled to stadiums around the United States to watch the Patriots play including a trip to Super Bowl XXXVIII in Houston. He was a frequent patron of the Crows Nest Restaurant in Warwick. He also was an avid coin collector.
He was the beloved father of the late Deborah A. Ruzzo. Besides his wife he leaves behind a daughter, Donna L. Pelletier of Rome, NY; a son, Robert A. Scott of Central Falls; four grandchildren and eight great grandchildren
Joe is remembered as a goo friend with great stories. He would sit down and talk for hours about his children and greandchildren. He was devistated when he llost his daughter and he couldn't stop telling people how much he loved and cherished his wife.
Those who he would visit it looked forward to him coming home from a trip after his retirement...telling the tales of his adventure...and even compalinig about his arthritis. He is remembered as one of a kind.
