James Hensen and Edward Dulin bond for marriage between James Henson and Polly Duling
wit Cole Fitzhugh
I do hereby agree that James Henson may obtain a lisence to be married to my daughter Polly. from under my hand - Wm. Dulin - Elizabeth Dulin - 29 Dec 1806 - test: Edward Dulin - George Dulin

In the will of Peter Glasscock filed in Rowan County, North Carolina, he shows his daughter as "Elizabeth Dulin", to whom he left one Shilling, this will being dated 24 Oct. 1783. It appears that the assumed date of the marriage of William Dulin and Elizabeth Glasscock in 1783 was derived from the date of this will. It should be noted that this marriage should have been recorded as "before" 1783, not "in" 1783.

By 1854 James/Shelton had migrated to MO with his family who had moved to MO with their mother, “Polly.” (Substantiated by self-report of birth in Fauquier, VA, a VA genealogist, DNA, and the 1850 Census. ---------------

Polly migrated, possibly ca 1846 to MO, per her daughter's birth records. She appears to have been related to the Millers of Howard Co., Missouri . While we do know know the reason for the move to the west, it is known that the VA Hinsons and the MO Hinsons were involved in an extensive litigation over their father's property from 1863 until 1875.

"As late as July, 1875 John G. Hinson is still involved in litigation in the Chancery Court of Fauquier Co., VA. with the heirs of his father, James Hinson. This litigation involved the distribution of the assets of the estate of James Hinson, deceased, of which John G. Hinson was one of the executors.
