BABBITT, JEANNETTE ROBERTA "BOBBIE", 82 - of Dennisville, passed away on Friday, October 18, 2013 at Crest Haven Nursing Home. Born in Philadelphia to the late Elmer and Florence (Bandel) Cassidy, she moved here 47 years ago from Vineland.

Mrs. Babbitt was a teacher at the Richard M. Teitelman Middle School and Lower Cape May Regional High School. She was also Assistant Principal and Principal at Richard M. Teitelman Middle School. She retired after serving 25 years in the district. She was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church in South Dennis and of the NJEA.

Mrs. Babbitt was an avid historian of Cape May County. She was volunteer curator of the Dennis Township Museum and History Center. She was a breeder of Portuguese Water Dogs and loved to show them.

Mrs. Babbitt is survived by her husband of 65 years, Howard C. "Pete" Babbitt; her sons, Brion Babbitt and Scott Babbitt; and her grandson, Scott A. Babbitt.
