EDITH (SIMINGTON) HIPPO
Of 628 Ninth avenue, Juniata, died at 11.45 p.m. yesterday. She was a
daughter of James and Isabel (Gummo) Simington, born in Altoona Aug.
18, 1883. Surviving are her husband, Jesse Greene Hippo, and these
sons: Clarence and Leroy, Juniata; Charles of Wehnwood, Donald of
Juniata, Edward, armed forces in Italy; Ernest, United State army
somewhere; two daughters, Mrs. Ethel Bair of Altoona and Mrs. Isabel
Moore of Norwich, Conn.; thirteen grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Alice
Dixon of Akron, O.; these brothers; William Simington of Frankstown,
Joseph, Roland, Albert and George, all of Altoona. She and Mr. Hippo
were married Dec. 24, 1902. Mrs. Hippo was a Lutheran church member.
Friends will be received at the family home after 6 p.m. today.
HIPPO - Funeral services for Mrs. Edith Simington Hippo will be held
from the family home at 2 p.m. Thursday with Rev. Ralph E. ?
officiating. Interment will follow in Rosehill cemetery. Friends are
being received at the home after 6 p.m. today.
