Floyd Bergeaux walked into the arms of Jesus, his Lord and Savior, on August 10, 2020 surrounded by his loving family.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 14, 2020 at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jules Catholic Church with Father Paul LeFleur officiating.
Burial will follow in St. Jules Cemetery under the direction of Miguez Funeral Home.
Visitation will be observed on Thursday, August 13, 2020 from 5:00 – 8:00 PM with a rosary, led by his sisters, Florence Miller and Bernadine Fuselier, at 6:00 PM followed by a short scripture service led by Bro. Gary DarDar. Visitation will continue Friday from 8:00 AM until time of services.
He owned and operated Bergeaux’s Auto Service in Jennings for over 30 years where many customers became lifelong friends. In his spare time, Floyd loved to garden, fish, hunt, raise cattle, and get together with his friends to cook and play cards. His greatest joy in life was spending time with his children and grandchildren.
Those left to cherish his memory are his 3 daughters and son-in-law, Becky Meaux of Lake Charles, Patricia Dupre of Iota and Sarah and Greg Benny of Iowa, LA; 2 sons and daughter-in-law, Kenneth and Carla Bergeaux of Basile and Freddie Bergeaux of Longville; 3 sisters, Joyce Bourgeois of Port Neches, TX, Florence Miller of Iota, LA, Bernadine Fuselier of Jennings, LA; 2 brothers, Robert Bergeaux of Jennings and Gerald Bergeaux of Evangeline; 10 grandchildren, Kelly, Shelly, Matt, Bridget, Steven, Aaron, Bethany, Jacob, Jarrett and Johnathon. and 10 great-grandchildren.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy Miller Bergeaux; his sister Julia Bergeaux; son-in-law Francis Meaux and daughter-in-law Diana Bergeaux.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to Becky Johnson for the special care given to Mr. Bergeaux in his last days and also Heart of Hospice.
