He was born in Irwin County, Ga (though the D.C. misspelled Irwin), the son of Dave Branch and Martha Ross Branch of that county. He was 70 years old, born Dec. 26, 1870 in Irwin County, Ga. He had lived at 8310 No. Freemont Ave in the rural Belmont Heights section of Hillsborough County for 5 years. His occupation is listed as Carpenter in House Construction. He was NOT a veteran, but of white race and not on social security. He died in the County Hospital, having been there for 2 months. His wife is listed as Elizabeth Branch, age 70, and living at the time of his death. The informant was Grady Branch of R. 1 Box 813 of Tampa, Florida, but relationship is not listed. Burial was on July 2, 1940 in Keystone Cemetery."
