Frank Woodroe Farmer, 77, of Bakersfield, CA, passed away on July 28, 2020. He was born in Covington, GA to parents Laura Mae Jones and LC Farmer, who he joins in eternal life along with his brothers George Farmer, Emmanuel Farmer, and sister Ola Williams.

Frank is survived by his sisters, Rosetta Taylor and Laura Bostic, as well as his sons, William Farmer, Roy Farmer, Franklin Farmer II, and Jackie Farmer. He leaves behind six grandchildren (Sajayda Farmer, Eboni Akingbe, Falanchelle'e Farmer, Dominique Farmer, Elias Farmer, and Ishen Farmer) and three great-grandchildren.

Frank graduated in 1960 from Howard High School in Chattanooga, TN and was recognized for his involvement in the Civil Rights Movement. In his youth, Frank honorably served in the U.S. Air Force, and was a proud veteran and patriot. He graduated from the University of the District of Columbia and went on to work as a photographer, a mortuary scientist, machinist, and phlebotomist.

He then moved to Bakersfield where he was an active member of the Central and International SDA Churches and Share Him Ministries. He enjoyed holding Bible studies, mentoring the youth in his church, teaching, serving those less fortunate, and travelling to the Philippines to share his faith with others. Frank was a kind and generous man who will be greatly missed.

He will be laid to rest in the National Cemetery in his hometown of Chattanooga, TN. [sic]
