He is the son of Walter Nelson Martin and Amy Mae Crotty Martin.
He died Wednesday, May 1, 1985 in a Virginia Beach, Virginia hospital following a short illness.
He was a native of Neponset, West Virginia and retired from the N&W Railroad where he worked as an electrical maintenance supervisor. He was a member of Aldersgate United Methodist Church; and the fraternal order of Masons.
He is survived by his wife, Elsie D. Martin; daughter, Elizabeth Susan Law; son, John A. Martin; sister Nellie McClure; and six grand-children.
