Cyrus Swan Roberts III was a civil engineer in New York City. He married c1930, Katherine Adee Kavanaugh (c1910-), of New York. Their son, 1Lt. Cyrus Swan Roberts IV (1941-66)(Annapolis 1962), was in the Air Force and died in Laos during the Vietnam War and is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.

Cyrus Swan Roberts III's grandmother was Anne "Nannie" Rollins DuVal (1848-1904), second daughter of Judge Thomas Howard (1813-80) and Laura Peyton DuVal DuVal (1816-1913). She married in 1870, Brig. General Cyrus Swan Roberts (1841-1917), son of Virgil Beduff (1805-89) and Harriott Rachell Swan Roberts (1817-92), of Sharon, Conn. He was a captain in the Civil War serving in the 105th New York Infantry and was aide-de-camp on the staff of Major General George Crook. After the war he was a major in the 17th Infantry. He was adjutant general in the 2nd Army Corps in the Spanish-American War, served in the 2nd Infantry in the Philippines, 1901-03. Their children were Brig. General Charles Duval (1873-1966), Cyrus Swan, Jr. (1876-1903), and twins Laura Pearson (1882-1968) and Mary Roberts (1882).

Cyrus Swan Roberts, Jr. (1876-1903)(Ohio State 1898) was a mining engineer in Mexico. He married in 1903, Helene DuFourcq (1878-1953), in New York City. Their son was Cyrus Swan Roberts III (1904-73), as noted above.

Laura Pearson Roberts (1882-1968) lived in San Antonio. She married in 1903, Col. Tilman Campbell (1874-1957), son of James Herron (1841-98) and Eliza Yoder Hopkins Campbell (1845-1929), of Augusta, Ark. He served in the Spanish-American War and WWI. His father was mayor of Augusta, Ark. Their children were Dr. Nancy Duval (1906-81) (UTx. 1927, Phi Beta Kappa)(Yale M.D. 1931) who was a physician at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Washington, D.C.; James Herron, II (1910-55)(UTx. 1935, M.S. 1936) who was a mechanical engineer; and Alexander Hopkins Campbell (1920-41).
