Was supposed to marry Noémie Blouin in a double wedding with his brother Algoma Keating & Emilie Blouin. There was a storm which destroyed the wharf at the river and the rice crop was lost. Supposedly he became so despondent and clinically depressed that he had to be institutionalized at Jackson. Noémie later married Leo Landry.
