SUZANNE'S OBITUARY
Suzanne Marie Gillenwater, age 64, of Beckley, WV went home to be with her maker on Monday, August 10, 2020, following a long battle with Parkinsonism MSA . She was a very brave and humble soldier through this battle.
Born on April 8, 1956, in Lawrence County, Ironton, Ohio, she was the daughter of Phyllis Gillenwater Huffman of Beckley and the late Carson Gillenwater.
Suzanne was a graduate of Sophia High School in 1974. She was an employee of the late Tracy Hylton for 25 years and then worked at various coal companies, the latter one being Patriot Coal Co., Charleston, WV. She was also a member of Calvary Assembly of God Church.
Those left to survive her and cherish her precious memories are her sister, Patricia Gorsky and husband Peter of Grandview, WV; her niece Elizabeth Raney and husband Brian Raney, and their two children, Bailey and Lucas; her niece Mary Crawford and husband Terry Crawford, and their two children Lakyn and Lani; her nephew James Suddreth and wife Megan Suddreth, and their two children Kelsey and Jalynn; her two aunts, Judy Cline and family and Donna McKinney and family.
For those who were privileged enough to know Suzanne, knew that she was a very compassionate, kind, caring and humble person. This is the legacy that she will leave behind even through the battle of this disease.
The family would like to express their deepest gratitude for the Hospice Program and the many nurses that grew to love and take care of Suzanne. Thank you so much. And for the Commission On Aging program and the five caregivers in which they provided for Suzanne during this state. Thank you Beverly, Debbie and Ella and the latter two Pam and Mary, who took her through many rough times. There are not enough words to be said for these compassionate and caring people with both agencies.

A graveside rite and burial will be held at Blue Ridge Memorial Gardens at Prosperity, WV on Friday, August 14, 2020 with Pastor John Jordan of Calvary Assembly of God officiating.
