Henry T. Vierling, 72, well known In Shakopee where he was born September 18, 1872, died at St. Mary’s hospital, Minneapolis at 12:40 p.m. Monday after a long illness. He had been a resident of Minneapolis for many years and for a quarter of a century was a faithful and valued employee of the Dayton company. The funeral was held from the Vierling residence at 5636 South Emerson and services were conducted by the Rev. Ambrose Sibenand at Annunciation church with interment in St. Mary’s cemetery at Minneapolis. Pallbearers were Charles Hogan, Joseph Waida, Robert Klick, George Brandon, Otto Esch and Reynold Adean. Mr. Vierling spent his childhood, attended school and grew to maturity in Shakopee and May 19, 1895 he was married to Susan Mayer in a ceremony performed in Minneapolis. For a time following their marriage Mr. and Mrs. Vierling lived in Shakopee and later moved to Minneapolis where they spent the remainder of their years together. Mr. Vierling had numerous friends here and in the twin cities to whom like his immediate relatives his passing has brought a sense of great loss. He was a member of the Holy Name society and had been active in the interests of that society. Surviving are his widow, a daughter, Mrs. Marcella Ross, Minneapolis, a brother, Nicholas Vierling, Shakopee; and two sisters, Mrs. Eva Ring, St. Paul and Mrs. Anna Brandon, Minneapolis.
