John D. Amos age 55 of Las Vegas formerly of Griffith passed away on Tuesday October 24, 2017. He is survived by his wife of 17 years Ondina; children: Rebecca (Michael) Andree Jr. , Hunter Amos and Tyler Amos; grandchildren: Alayna, Mason and Logan; also by his siblings: Vicki Lynn Garrison, Sharee Amos, Henry "Mickey" (Suzanne) Amos, Dena (Toney) McNelley; nephews Dale and Eric; niece Teri and numerous other nieces and nephews. John was preceded in death by his parents Henry Amos and Peggy Jo Greenhaw, son Spc. John Amos II and brother- in-law Dallas Garrison. Memorial service will be held at WHITE FUNERAL HOME with Pastor Shawn Cornett officiating. John was a Gulf War Veteran and a retired 20 year Air Force Veteran. He graduated from Griffith High School class of 1980. John was a mechanic with Allegiant Airlines and at D&C Automotive.
