Jeraline, or later known as “Hank”, was one out of eleven siblings born to Harry William and Ora Mae Wheat in Newellton, Louisiana on February 17, 1941.
Hank was married to her husband A. C. Hudson for 40 years and together they had four children. She was a devoted homemaker to her family. She loved to sew clothes for her grandchildren that lovingly called her “Ma Hank”, quilt, work in her garden, read, and go “garage sale-ing” early in the morning. She loved cooking for her family and was known for her cakes. All the neighborhood kids were always out in her front yard and her washroom door was always open “just in case the grandkids needed a place”. She was caring and nurturing and will be sorely missed by all that knew her.
She is preceded in death by her husband, A.C. Hudson; son, Gregory Hudson; brothers, Harold Donavan Wheat, Harry William Wheat, William James Wheat, Joe B Wheat and sister, Clarice Burks.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah Hudson, Donna Queen; son, Jeffery Hudson and wife, Wanda; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Marie Hammett, Barbara Pace and husband, Coye, Diane Dawson and husband, Stanley, Joyce Wiley and Jenny Scott and husband, Bob.
Serving as pallbearers will be James Wyble, Jordan Wyble, Wesley Wyble, Daniel Hudson, Clay Hudson, and Mikey Chapa. Honorary pallbearers are Kevin Roy, Chuck Rowe, and Cody Cox.
