Dallas Landon Lovejoy, 83 of Culloden, WV passed away on Sunday, July 26, 2020 at Cabell Huntington Hospital. Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 1:00 p.m. at Beard Mortuary with Jared Briggman officiating. Burial will follow at Forest Memorial Park, Milton, WV. The family will receive friends after 12:00 p.m. He was born July 29, 1936 in Hamlin, WV the son of the late Aaron and Thelma Spurlock Lovejoy. He was also preceded in death by a brother, David Lovejoy. Dallas was a longtime member and former deacon of Beacon of Hope Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was a member of Beni Kedem Shrine, Charleston and a 50 year member of Scottish Rite Bodies. He was a retired surveyor for CSX Railroad. He is survived by his wife, Rose Ann Williams Lovejoy; a son and daughter-in-law, Scott and Amber Varney of Pikeville, KY; step daughters and spouses, Connie and Alan Caldwell of Winfield, WV; Lois and Steve Whiteside of Scott Depot, WV; step-son, Lee (Brenda) Williams of Martinsville, IN; two grandchildren, Brycen and Landon Varney; six step-grandchildren; three step great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews including a special nephew, Darrell “Butch” Lovejoy.
