Aaron James Herold, 20, of Grand Junction, CO formerly of Greenbackville, VA passed away on December 14, 2016.
He was born in Fort Bragg, NC on August 24, 1996 to William Herold Sr. and Diane (Pinkston) Massey. He was a graduate of the Arcadia Firebirds Class of 2015.
His passion was for welding but he loved to skateboard, surf and snowboard.
Aaron is survived by his mother, Diane Pinkston Massey and her husband Jamie of Greenbackville, Va; father William Dale Herold Sr of Grand Junction, CO , Brother, William "Willie" Dale Herold, Jr. and his wife Alex of Nellis AFB, NV; Two Aunts, Nanette Sales of Stockton, MD, Sandy Bowden and her husband Jimmy of Assawoman, VA; Six Uncles, Roger Pinkston and his wife Andrea of Stafford, VA, Garry Pinkston of Chincoteague Island, VA, Mike Massey and his wife Mary of Salisbury, MD, Kent Massey and his wife Wendy of Stockton, MD, Jeff Massey and his wife Dana of Greenbackville, VA, Jay Massey and his wife Amy of War Trace, TN; Grandparents, Barbara and Jack Gray of Modest Town, VA; several cousins.
He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Olen Pinkston, and his grandmother, Mary Pinkston.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 20th, 2016 from 7 to 9 PM at Salyer Funeral Home, Inc. on Chincoteague Island, VA.
Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, December 21, 2016 at 2 Pm from the Union Baptist Church on Chincoteague Island, VA with the Rev. Kevin Eley officiating.
Interment will be held in the John W. Taylor Memorial Cemetery in Temperanceville, VA.
