Anchorage resident Robert Hendry Bain , 84, died Aug. 5 at his home. A private funeral service has already been held. Burial will take place at Angelus Memorial Park Cemetery.
He was born March 22, 1910 in Seattle. On Jan. 26, 1942, Mr. Bain married Roberta Newman. They moved to Alaska six years later. Mr. Bain worked in construction as an ironworker and retired in January 1976. Mr. Bain 's family said, " Robert loved his dogs. He raised black Labradors."
He is survived by his wife Roberta Bain of Anchorage; daughter Margaret Ann Ray of Anchorage; brother, Stewart Bain of Conconelly, Wash.; sister, Alice Hoskins of Seattle; grandson, Sean Robert Ray; granddaughter Teresa E. Githens; and great granddaughter Britnee Jane Githens. Arrangements were handled by Kehl's Forest Lawn Mortuary and Crematory.
