LAWRENCE - Services will be Tuesday at Rumsey Funeral Home here for James B. Weaver Alexander, 84, Lawrence, who died Saturday morning in a Lawrence hospital. He was born July 28, 1892 in Shawnee County and had lived in Lawrence 40 years. He was a farmer before he retired.
He was married to Elizabeth King. She survives. Other survivors include 4 sons, Edward E. Alexander and George H. Alexander, both of Lawrence, James K. Alexander, Bakersfield, Calif., and Robert L. Alexander, Colorado Springs; 2 daughters, Mrs. Margaret M. Wingert and Mrs. Emma M. Bryan, both of Lawrence; a half-brother, Harry Fultz, Topeka; 13 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
Burial will be in Oak Hill Cemetery, Lawrence.
