Agnes was the wife of James Henry Howard (1864-1928), they married sometime in 1883 (according to her death certificate). They had 6 children: Charles Edgar, Nina Pearl, Harriet Ruth, George Leo, Raymond Augustus, and Lillian. They remained and lived in the area of Southwest Baltimore City known as "Pigtowne". He was a laborer. Upon James' death in 1928, Agnes was living with her daughter, Nina and her husband, Walter Mitchell, on Hayward Ave. The house was a home and a beauty parlor. She became ill on 2/23/1932, and was admitted into West Baltimore General Hospital for gall bladder inflammation with stones. She had surgery on 2/26/1932, and died on 2/27/1932 as a result of the illness. She was buried in Western Cemetery on 3/1/1932.
