ALVARADO - Garland Hill Bruce passed away peacefully on Wednesday Aug. 16, 2017, with family by his side.
Garland was born July 27, 1937, in Rio Vista to Arney and Miriam Bruce at home.
He was one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 46 years, serving as an elder in many Congregations.
He looked forward to being resurrected to a beautiful Paradise where Revelation 21:3,4 will be fulfilled.
Garland was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Ezell Morgan, Billie Faries, Ginny Fuller Alls; two nephews; and one niece.
Survivors: Wife, Jessie West Bruce; daughter, LaDonna Lynn Bruce; sister, Verdie Collins; brothers-in-law, Bobby Faries and Benny Alls, 10 nieces and nephews; and many friends.
