She was born December 7,1930, in Warrior, Alabama, to Ralph Cato and Annie (Tuck) ,both of whom preceded her in death. She married December 20, 1947, in Kimberly Alabama, John D. Rock, Jr. who preceded her in death. She is survived by son, John E. (Deborah) Rock, Valparaiso, IN; daughters, Judy (Paul) Harwood of Medaryville,IN, Brenda (Douglas) Bow, Valparaiso,IN, Donna (Kent) Biggs, Wanatah, IN, Vicki Rock, Valparaiso,IN. Ronda Rock preceded; brothers, Beryl Mahaffey of Alabama, and Boyd Mahaffey of Alabama, Preceded by Ray, J.L. and Adrian Cato, Buddy, Bobby and Barney Mahaffey; sisters, Violet (Ken) Dant of Florida, and Laverne (Joe) Rickels of Alabama; grandchildren, John David Rock, Christina Rock, Chad Adams, Duston Bow, Darlene Rock-Harwood, Kurt and Kris Biggs and one preceded Kimberly Harwood. Preceded in death by Step-father, Bernice Mahaffey. Funeral service will be held Friday, April 16, 2004, at 1 PM at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel, 6941 Central Avenue, Portage, Indiana with Pastor Duane Schmidt officiating. Interment, Heritage Cemetery, Portage, Indiana.Visitation Thursday, April 15, 2004 from 6 to 8 P.M. at Edmonds & Evans Funeral Home Portage Chapel.
