JANKOVICH, Paul N. Age 82, of Miamisburg. It is with saddened hearts Paul's family share the news of his sudden passing on April 22, 2020. The solace in this grievous time is knowing he is eternally with his Lord and Savior and reunited with the love of his life, forever wife of 48 years, Peggy. On his own at age 17, he was preceded in death by his mother Mary Ann Benedict and father Paul S. Jankovich. In later years preceded in death by his brother Jim Benedict. He is survived by his sons Perry Jankovich (Judy), Scott Jankovich, Steve Jankovich, daughter Patti Greer (Tom) and grandson Adam Casati. Forever heartfelt for his one and only, he never removed his wedding band after Peggy's passing in 2009. He would say, "I will always be married to her." He enlisted into the Marine Corps in 1957, most proudly and honorably serving for six years. He spoke of the mental and physical strength as well as the perseverance the Corps ingrained in him that he displayed his entire life. A detailed perfectionist, neat and orderly, believed in being "Marine clean" as he called it. His most cherished life passions were his wife and kids. His greatest career passion was being an engineer and entrepreneur, establishing his machine and assembly design business in 1980, initially called Jankovich Products & Services, later named Datonix, Inc. He loved to build, create and make things work. "Make it happen" was a phrase Paul said many times that he exemplified in his successful design work and in life. Paul embraced the many friendships and bonds formed through the years as being an active member in the Presidents Club Inc.|TA-WA-SI and AMBUCS, serving as President of the AMBUCS Dayton Chapter for over the past 10 years. He looked forward every year to the AMBUCS Chili Cook-Off and Casino Night in which he took much pride and time "making it happen" in tandem with his AMBUCS comrades. This is the main fundraiser that allows the giving away of therapeutic tricycles (trykes) to special needs children as well as raising educational scholarship funds to give to students pursuing degrees in physical, occupational and speech therapy. Recalling many times the stories Paul would tell of such joy and excitement in the eyes of the kids when the trykes were given to them. Paul enjoyed playing golf, a sport he did not pick up until about the age of 50. He thoroughly enjoyed walking the golf course during his Thursday AMBUCS league. Even he would tell you he couldn't see the ball well enough to hit it where he wanted it to go, but he still loved to golf. To our beloved Dad, we treasure you forever and thank you for being our guiding light throughout the years. You always bestowed a heart the size of oceans. Goodbyes are not forever, goodbyes are not the end, they simply mean we will miss you, until we meet again. Semper Fi forever Daddy, Semper Fi.

A memorial graveside service with military honors will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, September 12, 2020 at Calvary Cemetery (1625 Calvary Ave, Dayton, OH 45409) Graveside Section 46, Tier X, Lot 95, Space 7.
