Belinda attended Massachusetts General Hospital Nursing School and later joined the Peace Corps and served in Turkey.
She married Sam (Shintaro) Asano in 1971 in Cambridge, Mass.
They moved to Concord, Mass., and lived there until 1997 when they moved to New Castle, N.H. She was an RN at Mass. General Hospital and Brigham & Women's Hospital and later became a nursing instructor at Boston College, Fitchburg State College and Middlesex Community College. She was one of the first recipients of a pediatric nursing practitioner license.
She was survived by her husband and their children.
