Crucial was a good fish. When I got him he was very tiny...about the size of a goldfish...as he grew older he grew to be about 6 or 7 inches long and almost 5 inches high. He and his brother Vicious ate 300 feeder fish in one day as their best record. He was a smart fish and would watch you as you went about your day. He was an excellent hunter and a wonderful pet.
Sadly, he met his fate when an old friend's brother thought it would be fun to pour beer into the tank. I only found out later what he had done when my fish were ill to the point of dying a few hours later. He was too big to be given a burial at sea (via the toilet) so he was buried in the backyard.
He was a Tiger Oscar and is still missed.
