Leno grew up in Dripping Springs, Texas. He worked hard from shearing sheep and goats, cutting firewood, hauling hay, Alba's café, he built fence and did rockwork. Some of this he taught to his boys. Leno was always busy. Around Thanksgiving and Christmas he and Debbie made LOTS of tamales (last year a couple hundred dozens) so he could give something to his kids for Christmas. Of course we were happy with the tamales, tomato preserves and anything he cooked.Leno Lerma Alba was born September 23, 1931 in Austin Texas to Fred and Carmen Alba. He passed away August 25, 2020. Leno was 88 years old, almost 89. Leno wanted to live to be as old as his grandfather who died at 91. He almost made it.

Leno was a strong man and lived life to the fullest.

Leno lived with his wife Debbie Rodriguez for 40 years. They moved to Coleman Texas two years ago to live on his grandson, Bobby and Lisa's ranch. He really enjoyed riding around the ranch on his mule and maybe get a little fishing in with Jacob.

Leno was survived by his wife Debbie Rodriguez, sister Minnie Alvarez, sons Sammy Alba wife Louwyn, James Alba, Lino Alba Jr wife Stacie, Perry Alba wife Joanna, David Rodriguez, Adam Alba wife Krystal, daughters Joann Martinez, Lori Alba, Michelle Davila husband JP, and Carmen Alba. Leno had 28 grandchildren, 48 great grandchildren, 13 great, great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
