Mrs. Dorothy Killian Allen Ellis, 77, a lifelong resident of
Chattanooga, died Friday at her residence. She was retired
from Peerless Woolen Mills after 45 years service and was
of the Methodist faith. She was the widow of H.W. Ellis
and Roy "Spud" Allen. She was the daughter of the late
James Franklin and Ibbie Morgan Killian, a prominent pioneer
family and namesake of Morganville, Ga. Survivers include
two daughters, Mrs. Joseph L. (Peggy Jo Allen) Koons and
Mrs. Joseph T. (Martha Allen) Payne, both of Chattanooga;
a granddaughter and three great grandchildren, Graveside
services will be held at 4:00 p.m. Sunday in Sarah's Chapel
Cemetery in Morganville with the Rev. Henry C. Preston officiating. Arrangements by J. Avery Bryan Funeral Home
