Edward J. Halmes, age 96, passed away Wednesday, August 26, 2020.

Beloved husband of the late Lillian (nee Rusniaczyk). Loving father of Rich (Judy) Halmes. Cherished grandfather of Amanda. Dear brother of Dorothy Holmes of Coral, PA, Mildred Dechman of Josephine, PA, William (Margaret) Holmes of Coral, PA, brother-in-law of Patricia Halmes of Blairsville, PA, and the late Joseph Holmes, Teresa Yancy, Agnes Vresilovic and John (Jack) Halmes.

Edward was a W.W.II Veteran of the US Army.

Family will receive friends at THE VODRAZKA FUNERAL HOME OF INDEPENDENCE, 6505 BRECKSVILLE RD., (RT. 21, S. OF ROCKSIDE), SUNDAY, AUGUST 30, 2020 FROM 3-6 P.M. Funeral Mass Monday, August 31, 2020 at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 6750 State Rd., Parma, at 9:30 a.m. (PLEASE MEET AT CHURCH).

Interment to follow with Military Honors at All Saints Cemetery, Northfield, Oh.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to The American Cancer Society.
